I am not an expert, but I dont see how a straw can help you with that. The minute anyone drinks from a class/mug, whatever germs they have will go into the liguid... So a straw doesnt seem to me, to help all that much. Might be less gross, but not alot.

The more time I spend on SF the more I realize that listening to advice here probably leads to a miserable life. When I go out I let friends try my drinks, I try other people's drinks, I hug and kiss people with reckless abandon, I wear SF unapproved clothing, I talk to strangers, I drink red bull, I do all sorts of things that people on here spend time chastizing while they should be out living life instead of analyzing it.

I spent today hanging out in the middle of big groups of hipsters and douchebags drinking ice cold lager and basking in the sun. It was marvelous and I will do it again. Its better than sitting online with wannabe elitist I-friends whining about the general public.

I may have taken this a bit far.

What is this like? I don't go outside, I just read StyleForum all day on the internets and post about every single life problem I have on "social life, food, and drinks." Do some colors and fabrics work better in natural light than others?

Only with family. As a young child I figured everyone in my household had "the same germs."

I only do it with my parents, not my brothers cause they aren't very hygenic. Rarely with my friends even then I don't touch the bottle with my mouth and tell them to do the same when they ask for some of my drink.

I don't understand why Americans are so anal retentive about sharing food, cutlery, glasses, even between friends. I've never cared, but maybe I'm dirty.
