How many shirts do you have? - Page 2

This is why I love this forum. I thought I had excessive number of shirts and many people have told me so, but it's nothing when compared to SF members. I feel better now

Dress shirts: About 20 or so Sports Shirts (button-type, not including T-shirts or polo shirts): Maybe 70

I counted 73 last night (and some are in the cleaners right now). Even worse, I counted 42 pairs of jeans (most of them being Earnest Sewn, Da'Mage, PDC, and Antik). Wow - I can waste some money.

For me at least, the # of shirts in my wardrobe is largely determined/limited by storage space (and of course $$$ considerations). That being said, I find that 60 or so is a desireable #, in that it takes a good 2-3 months for a shirt to make it through the 'rotation' - this way a shirt is only worn/laundered 4 - 6 times a year (i.e. good for wear & tear factor)

Easily more than a dozen shirts each from Richard James and Hilditch & Key. Additional shirts (we're just talking dress shirts) from Coles, Ede & Ravenscroft, Turnbull & Asser, RL, and Budd.

42 pairs of jeans. Wow. I have 3 pairs of blue jeans and a few others in black, gray and beige. I'm guessing I've got a few more pairs of khakis than you do though.

I only have 2 pairs of khakis (and one of them is linen).

I wasn't talking about polo and sport clothes. For me shirts = 1)  casual = button cuffs, button down collar, checked, oxford 2)  business = double cuffs, classic collar or spread collar, plain or striped, popeline or enf of end or pinpoint 3) dress = ceremony shirts As casual shirts can be worn as a business shirts for many people, i didn't make any difference in my poll. But polo and sport stuffs are definitly NOT shirts.
It's still an ungodly number exclusive of polos and t-shirts.  I'm a shirt addict.

I counted 45 shirts, of which about 25 are dress shirts. Most are cheap stuff I've bought because of need but without knowledge, so I hope to upgrade slowly as time goes by.

I just threw out a bunch. i bought maybe 50, maybe 70, bespoke when I was living in India, and about a third of them have stayed boxed for the past 3 years. I only wear 20 or so on a regular basis. I am hoping not to buy any shirts for another 3-5 years.

I refuse to answer this survey, because doing so would mean that I have to count them, and actually admit to myself that I have a problem.

Have you counted each twice?
