I had ribeye, my wife had prime rib. I don't know which I preferred. It was the first time in forever that I had tasted a steak other than ribeye.

I like prime rib that has been very slow roasted, evenly cooked, which you can then finish with a sear to get a light crust if desired. But generally, I prefer the ribeye as well.

I don't care for the texture of prime rib much. Never appealed to me as much as a ribeye or other cuts.
Had a prime strip steak at Mercury in Dallas recently and that will be my choice for a while.
