Seriously, I lived in North Dakota and never got that tiny. Major props though, he took the taser like a champ and never got violent.

And what was he saying about Paul McCartney? White people crack me up.

I don't really understand why he was tasered. I mean sure, he was a naked wierdo with laughable genitals so deserving possibly of some kind of abuse, but there were three police, the guy was clearly not a threat to anyone and electrocuting him didn't suddenly make his clothes fly on. In fact they had him lying on the floor about to be cuffed before they tased him, and then again afterwards. In the UK, full of faults though our police are they only use tasers when the alternative is to shoot the guy - he is actively threatening to harm an officer or another or he is armed (usually a knife) and refuses to put the weapon down after multiple warnings. When and why do US cops get to use their tasers? because that guy did not seem to call for it, wierdo though he was.

An intoxicated naked guy wandering around a concert filled with young girls? Yeah, that usually ends well.

All he had to do was put the robe back on. Objecting to his local government's nudity laws would be more effective if he did it in court, sober.

The guy needed clothes on... period. Had he not resisted the way he did, he wouldn't have been tasered. End of story. He saw the cops pulling out the taser, what did he do? Screammed "I don't care" repeatedly. Even after being tased, he continued to resist by not rolling onto his back and allow himself to be cuffed. It's the guy's own fault. I don't feel bad for him at all.


... Except for his nonexistent penis.

I'm not saying the guy wasn't out of line - clearly he was, I just don't see what tasing him gained the cops. He was a douchebag, but was not violent, between the three of them they should have been able to control him and take him away.
They had him on the ground then let him up and tased him. He wasn't any more clothed before than he was after - I thought tasers were supposed to be for incapacitating people, but if anything they were using it as some sort of pain compliance device. It seemed like they were trying to threaten him with more tasering until he put his clothes back on.
I was not really against it, it did seem a little excessive to me, but what I really wanted to know is can cops in the states just taser whenever whomever and whenver they like, or are there set criteria?
It just didn't seem necessary - weird and intoxicated he was, but with three police officers there he was no kind of threat.

From what i can tell from the video. The cops were having a really tough time getting that guy to get his arms behind his back and roll him over. I would assume that he was a bit sweaty and greasy as well. In the old days, I bet the cops would have just beat him into submission. Now that every other person has a camer/video phone, they have to use different measures. Is a taser more humane than a fist? I don't know.

Well, he was resisting arrest. In the states, if you resist arrest, police are allowed to restrain you by force. In this case, the police used tasers. I though they have used mace.
