36 Regular/Short.... Hard to find?

Does anyone else out there seem to have trouble finding 36 Regular or Short suits? I know some brands like Hugo Boss, Burberry London, and some lower end brands produce them, but bigger brands like Armani, Zegna, etc. seem to not have this size.

What do you guys normally do in this case? Do you buy 38R and somehow have a tailor trim it all the way down until it fits? It sucks because I want an Armani or Zegna suit, but I'm afraid of not being able to get the right size.

There are racks and racks of Zegna Italian 46 here. So they are made. Take your vacation in Italy. Hit the outlet stores and pick up your suits/pants/shirts and coats. The cost of a plane ticket isn't much different then a half decent suit.

Unforuntately I have gone to all Bloomingdales/Nordstrom/Saks/Retail stores of Gucci/Armani/etc.

No sizes in 36.

Again, I'm looking for some opinions and help, not to be insulted on. It might be easy to find in your areas, but harder in mine.

Flying to buy a suit isn't an option that EVERYONE can commit to. So please be considerate and think about that.

I dont get it. They were sold out? Gucci makes 36 for sure. I have pieces that size. And since Gucci has the size I am sure Zegna does as well (Zegna makes Gucci suits). Armani makes 36 as well...

mtm or bespoke is your best bet my friend. You can probably get a nice suit for under 1000. www.stevenaver.com, support the board.

Not sure, maybe I'm unlucky when I visited the stores.

When I shop online, I notice that suits never have the option for 36.

Anyways, I know size 36 are out there, but what I was just mentioning was if anyone else noticed that size 36 is more short on hand than other sizes.

I don't think anyone is insulting anyone. In fact, this may be the mildest thread I've seen around here in a while.
