What shoe color with white or off-white trousers/suit? Mathieu

My $.02: white; two-tones--saddle, spectators, etc., with white (I prefer tan and white to any other combo, not too fond of black & white); tan/congnac/light brown. However, I am always the first to concede that there are other regulars in this forum who can given better, more authoritative counsel.

White bucks or lightest tan calf, perhaps. Spectators an option for the bold.

I agree that tan looks the best, but light brown or even dark brown can look good as well. I have a pair of grey suede loafers I will pair with white pants sometimes, although I probably wouldn't wear white shoes. I would definitely avoid black.

I find that a nice cordovan can look good with white or off-white slacks.

Dusty bucks, tan or medium brown and brown suede all look good.

I want to agree with dark brown suede... but it always feels too stark when I try. Could be a personal idiosyncrasy. I'll try again....

I usually wear tan or dark brown suede, but a nice white buck would go well also.
