I have a mountain bike and a single speed road bike. I do ride trails and love it but nothing gets me as hard as hopping on a single speed or fixed gear and riding around town. I actually bought the single speed yesterday and got to ride it for the first time today. Did 15 miles really quick before we had a thunderstorm. Will probably shoot for 20-25 tomorrow. Saturday will be reserved for trails and Sunday I'll be back on the road.

We have several parks within 20-25 miles that have 10-15 miles of trails and we just got a new one that will have 32 total miles of trails when the other half is completed. Usually go riding with one of the guys I work for every Saturday morning early.

That's cool but I misunderstood and thought you rode trials or freestyle ala Hans Rey.

I just have a singlespeed mtb and a regular road bike, and prefer riding on asphalt. I had a dual-suspension freestyle/DH bike a while back but it was a money pit. I guess I prefer the relative simplicity of road bikes.

Same here. The only working parts I want are wheels, crank, chain, and some simple brakes.
