Sorry for all the beginner questions but what exactly is 'trad'? I've seen the term used a lot but I can't quite pin down what defines trad style.

When I think of Trad, I think of Brooks Brothers sack suits, buttondown pinpoint oxfords, repp stripe ties, Alden wing tip brogues, etc. Other than repp stripe ties, I have none of the other items in my closet.
