Interview dress - Page 2

What's the weather like where you live? Is it too chilly still for a nice little sundress? Maybe revealing just a hint of decolletage. I'd maybe pair that with some open-toed shoes, with just a 1-1/2" heel. You know, dressy, but also fun!

I am not saying that it will affect your possibly getting the job, I am wondering aloud what effect it will actually have on the outcome.

I'm of a similar mind to ^... in my experience, EVERYONE is fair game and their opinions always count. I go out of my way to be very nice to anyone from the HR to the secretaries. If i was doing the hiring, it's those people who see the candidate when they don't think they're being interviewed and maybe are acting more natural that tells me who they really are...

That was my first thought too. A quick scan revealed a disappointing lack of pictures though.

ALWAYS wear a suit to an interview, even if it's for an internship. At least if you want to take the position seriously. This may not be the case for working retail/food service, but if the position is in a professional setting, just wear a simple conservative suit. Use the interview to gauge what others are wearing and dress more casually AFTER you are offered the job.

Apparently, the kids these days prefer to half ass it. Maybe they think it makes the companies think they're hotter.

FTFY. It was killing me. If you had that on your resume I would burst out laughing then burn it in a blaze of glory.

What about an interview for a fashion internship? The company does women's bags and shoes and the interview is at their showroom. The internship is in marketing/sales but still I assume that traditional interview wear isn't my most logical choice.

Why is this a question people keep asking? Type in interview dress in google and all you will get is "suit...suit...suit...suit...suit...suit." Not to mention just having common sense. Sure, there are exceptions, but if you have to ask... If you don't even know to wear a suit by default you shouldn't be hired.
