For those who wish to order in a smaller size than 7 1/2 or a different width from the standard F, please submit your requests to Richard before Friday 24th of April (GMT time to be safe). If you miss the deadline, you will only be able to choose stock sizes in F width fitting from their existing shoe catalog.

The final date for all pre-order is Monday 27 April through their pre-order website.

The way I see it, one might as well pay 15 pounds more for better suede, unless you are considering the regular suede monks, which would appear to cost 25 pounds more than the inferior one. (Monks: £125 vs £99) compared to (£115 vs £99) for the other designs.

Oh no, I'm not talking about getting the cheaper option.

I'm talking about getting the normal option. It's just that I set myself a limit of Crockett and Jones or better for quality, except for seude. I've read a more than a few times that expensive suede and cheaper suede are different to cheap leathers vs good leathers, for uppers.

I remember a post, saying that C+J handgrade was great value for money, and they went on to say that just get benchgrade for the suede stuff, because it doesnt matter as much.

Do you mean submit to him personally or submit to him via the SF closed section page? As that page clearly allows for the selection of shoes down to size 6??????? Havent all requests to be in by the 24th not just those 7.5 and lower ?????

Sorry for the confusion. I just checked their website and it seems they have amended it to include sizes down to 6. Any other special requests with regards to widths will have to be submitted to Richard by tomorrow.

For the rest, you have the weekend to ponder as they will only close the webpage on Monday.

Does anyone know if it is possible to order narrower sizes as well? I could probably do with a UK D width, certainly nothing wider than an E.

It is possible. Just email Richard your needs. You can customize widths and soles.

Can anyone post their experiences on US wide size vs. UK size. I read the other thin red line thread and one person posted a 9e US = 8.5 regular UK and now it's posted as conventional wisdom to do this. But it does not make sense to me to change width this way. Any more experiences to share?

if you're US9E you can either go UK8.5F or UK8G/UK8FX
