Rosewood front & back panels, black leatherette side panels. All transistor (which why it can be fully enclosed. Rotating 18" spun aluminum speaker globes (with Warfedale drivers). Quality Clairtone receiver electronics with phono preamp. I really like my Arcam Solo. But, I just put together a setup of Peachtree Nova + Sonos to stream lossless and it is extremely convenient and sounds very, very good. One could argue that it is the slightest tick down in SQ from the Arcam (but oh so slight) but the convenience of all of your music at your fingertips can't be beat.

Never heard one. But Oscar Peterson claimed his music sounded as good on one as in a live performance (of course he was probably paid to say that). But who are we to argue....Sinatra had one...Hefner had one...you should probably have one too.

I like the BeoSound 1. It's the first stereo I ever spent any real money on and it's always found a home as I've upgraded to crazier stuff.
