So... is anyone even remotely interested in seeing this? It actually has a pretty decent cast. Plus, one can only hope for this: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...ideoid=5073263

^ Many of you may be too young to remember this, but the G.I. Joe animated movie with Don Johnson, Burgess Merrideth and the Cobra La story line was incredible.

"I was once a man."

That's a heavy word. I think even as kids we all knew GI Joe was total cheese. I just kind of enjoyed the neurotic, jealous Destro with his silly metal eyebrows and fur collar.

I guess we'll see how the movie looks. I'm just tired of all the movies-based-on-old-tv-shows thing. Its tired.

it's pretty logical for hasbro properties like gi joe and transformers to be made into movies, now that the franchises themselves are around 25, it's a safe bet that the numerous kids who grew up with those franchises will spend the cash to feel a bit nostalgic, regardless of they "ruin" the original concept -- in the studios' eyes, they're refreshing the hokey stuff to make it believable to an older demographic.

Actually, some of the writing was pretty clever.

Chris Eccleston's a good actor, when not required to do comedy.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's playing Cobra Commander, and he's one of my favorite actors.

Even so, I suspect this will suck.

But will still see it.

i think my generation kinda missed out of the action figures, tv show, and other stuff
but the trailer looks pretty awesome, so i think it'll be a really well done action flick
i don't much about the storyline/characters, so i cant complain about anything in that department
