So this summer I'm turning 19, which is the legal drinking age in Canada and I've been contemplating a kick ass way to celebrate. I don't want to do the 'invite all 600 of your facebook friends to go clubbing' or some cheesy trip. Gota celebrate in style

. I was thinking of renting an upstairs of a local club and inviting 50 people or so for a suits and swimsuits party. Basically the dress code is either a 2/3 piece suit or a swimsuit. What do you guys think? Can this potentially lead to some problems? Should people under 18 be allowed to attend?

Hmmmmm.
Let's see:
1. Liquor in copious amounts.
2. Private club setting.
3. Swimwear dress code.

No.
I see no potential for problems here.

FYI legal age is 18 in AB, MB and QC.

Do whatever is going to lead to a giant piss up and the best likelihood of intercourse with attractive women. I wouldn't allow underagers. They're going to be a drag.

Sounds like fun. Im guessing your in Vancouver or Toronto? What club were you thinking of going to if its in Van? I doubt 18 year olds will be allowed in even if you do have a private area.

To be honest, it sounds like a ******* stupid idea.

Your welcome, he asked for what people thought. I am nineteen, and I hardly know anyone who owns a nice suit, let alone a three piece suit, let alone one that looks and fits well enough to wear to anything other than perhaps a wedding. I surely wouldn't want to show up at a party in swim trunks to celebrate a friend's party, and I doubt he has 50 female friends who will show up, let alone show up in a bikini. So I am assuming it is probably going to end up being a bunch of dudes in swim trunks.

Let me explain why you feel this way:
-You're 19 and can't drink legally;
-You live in Kentucky.

I have nothing against a drinking party! I just think the suits and swimsuits thing is stupid.

I'm guessing you need to get some better friends. One thing I am not really worried about is attendance.

The real question is how are you going to make fifty friends by this summer?

(I can't make it btw)

I think you should just stay home and have cake.

And milk.
