No, not unless I am going out to the park or to the beach.

Shorts are only de rigueur when doing sport activities or on holidays..
I do have painful souvenirs of older gentleman wearing shorts with socks and city shoes walking proudly on the promenade...
I do not see how shorts can be sexy except on holidays on a very hot days with adequate shoes and no socks

I would only wear them around the house, for exercising or for yard work these days.

The hairy male leg is unattractive per se, no matter how muscular. (And this is not mere sour grapes on my part. In my prime my thighs were a muscular 27.5 inches in circumference.)

I might wear shorts for hiking. (Used to, but probably wouldn't these days.)

I have never seen how shorts were materially more comfortable than lightweight, loose-fitting trousers. (Of course, the long pants worn almost exclusively by many shorts wearers are jeans--which are typically neither lightweight nor loose fitting!)

No man over 55 should let his legs be seen under any circumstances.

You obviously have not seen me in shorts then.

If you live in a hot environment, particularly over summer, then shorts are essential, I assure you.

Shorts are great, when they're well-cut. As it turns out, well-cut shorts are really quite rare. They also look terrible if they don't end well above the knee. I don't think, for example, that I've ever seen an American wearing shorts well. And good male legs are attractive to many people.

I agree wholeheartedly, but these days I spend several months in the year in Singapore,where I am now, and my resolution never to wear shorts again in any circumstances falls apart. I wear them as long (in length) as is possible without them turning into repulsive clam diggers. Still its not a pretty sight.

I wore shorts today while on a brief walk with the dog. It was in the mid-70's and the thought of long pants was not appealing. I'm in good shape so I don't hesitate to wear shorts on errands and dog walks.

Dim t as temp
Dim a as age

If t < 40 then
Shorts.wear = false
ElseIf 30+a>t then
Shorts.wear = true
Else
Shorts.wear = false
EndIf

I almost never wear shorts no matter how sweltering outside (yes that include places like Capri). However you gotta take the good with the bad and seeing girls jog in those retro bootie shorts make seeing the fat German tourists all worthwhile. People that wanna ban shorts have no poetry left in their barren souls.
