I had the tube on in the background just now, on VH1. I looked up when I heard "Holy Diver," a rather favorite song of my youth. Ronnie released his first single in...1958. He toured with Sabbath just last year (remember, they picked him up after they booted Ozzie).

I just thought he deserved his own thread of respect. He is now in the 51st year of his career! And he gave us the two finger rock and roll/devil sign!

i used to work with a guy who sang holy diver all day, every day. good shit.

I still turn on old DIO from time to time. I saw him in concert about 5 years ago and his voice held up amazingly. He played with some of the great metal guitarists of all time- Iommi, Blackmore, Campbell...
