Has anyone watched this show on Spike TV? I love it.

^ They had a Native American beating a gladiator. That sounds like garbage to me.

From the episodes I've seen, it appears that the more modern warrior usually wins.

I'd love a series like this, if it was done well. The result of a fight would be more determined by the fighting styles of the adversaries, not by how powerful the weapons are. Deadliest Warriors spends a whole lot of time analyzing how much damage a particular weapon would make and apparently not at all about how the weapons themselves are wielded.

It's stupid.

I am now watching an episode focusing on Spartans Vs. Ninjas. Unfortunately, it's not looking good for the Spartans. I never realized how cheap ninjas could be.

It's a pretty stupid show. My 15-year-old son loves it.

Did he say, "Inuk-chuk"?

Pretty badass show. Anyone who watches it and thinks "this is stoopid, an Apache could never beat a gladiator" is an idiot (and not because a gladiator couldn't beat an Apache). The whole point is to see the types of weapons that were used historically and the kind of damage that could be done. The actual fight between the two warriors is just a gimmick to get people to tune it and only comprises the last five minutes of the show.

For what it's worth, I enjoy Jurassic Fight Club a lot more. Deadliest Warriors takes itself way too seriously. Still pretty decent though.

Sorry, odor, but I have to disagree. The show presents itself as trying to discover which warrior was a better warrior and vastly, vastly oversimplifies things. It does so to the extent that it just can't be taken seriously. It's mindless, unanalytical entertainment. It's Spike, for God's sake.

This is such bullshit. All the crap on Spike, Discovery and shit about martial arts is a load. I think my friend told me the Spartan beat the ninja last night? Whatever.

When I trained as a Ninja we were told to avoid combat, and use our stealth and invisibility cloaks to get away unscathed.
