What's good for dinner to fill you up so you won't run off in the middle of the night to go grub on some more food?

Protein supposedly gives you a more 'full' feeling compared to carbs. I think the best advice is to eat a lot of caloricallly sparse foods like veggies. Your stomach doesn't know what it's getting filled with, it'll just say tell you you're 'full' as it gets full. So if you eat a lot of veggies, you're getting less calories but more space. Also, the fiber should slow down the digestion process and help you feel full longer.

supposedly eating a bowl of (vegetable) soup makes the full feeling last longer. Also getting up to eat is a habit, imo. Stop doing it and you will want it less, eventually.

Hunger is in the mind...really... there is no magic food to make you feel full all throughout the night. Heck I'm always feeling hungry no matter how much I eat, or how little I eat for that matter. I only respond to the hunger when I know I'm supposed to be eating. If I know I've had enough calories for the day and still feel hungry, I just ignore it. You should be able to tell the difference between the feeling of hunger and TRUE hunger when your body is requiring the intake of calories....just learn to deal with it.

Eating at night makes you fat. You should actually stop eating carbs after a certain time at night, depending on what time you sleep.

I have pasta and tuna fish it fills you up, dont get the munchies at night either.

just cook your favorite pasta, add a tin of chopped tomartoes and a pinch of basil. heat the mix untill tomatoes are hot, then stir in a tin of your favorite tuner fish. hey presto takes mins to cook and tastes real nice. can always have a small garlic baget to go with it as well.

This is stated so absolutely, but yet is so oversimplified it makes me cringe a little.

Fats make me feel fuller than carbs, which make me feel fuller than proteins. I used to eat huge meals and drink a lot late in the night, and I fairly quickly gained a good bit of non-muscular weight. I rearranged my diet so that I ate any carbs first thing in the day, mostly proteins from then on, and light calorie veggie meals before bed. This made a huge different in weight and body composition.

This is purely useless anecdotal evidence, though.

to avoid eating more at the mid night, you should divide your daily menu into many small parts.don't let's your stomach so hungry, it will cause u fatter (because when u can't help, u will eat more than before)
