recipe for rabbit in cherry beer stew?

Anyone have one? I've seen a one at recipezaar.com but it seemed off (slightly different ingredients) from my fond memories of Brussels. Of course, the recipe can be played around with.

But I wondered if anyone happened to have a favorite recipe for rabbit. Preferably one in a cherry beer stew, but others are welcome too.

thanks,
b

I don't have one, but this sounds ridiculously tasty.

The one time I had it, it was awesome. It was at a tiny restaurant on an out-of-the-way street in Brussels. We got the recommendation from the NYTimes' 36-Hours in Brussels column of all things.

Edit:
Here's the column
And the restaurant, Le Brassins

I do my rabbit on a grill w/ a mustard glaze. I'll have to look into cherry beer stew... sounds good.

ok, I thought that the person posting this would be the guy who's kid's rabbit ate his shoes, cause when I saw his post the other day my first thought was "rabbit stewed in beer"

I can't advise on the rabbit, but highly recommend getting more than one bottle of Kriek. That stuff is great. Liefmans is excellent.
