Julie Andrews - Sound of Music

Just watched Sound of Music this past weekend on TV (by choice), and haven't seen it at least since junior high (at least about 15 years ago). Brought back a lot of memories when I would watch this movie regularly with the family as a little kid growing up.

Is it just me or was Julie Andrews of the time hot (she was about 29-30 in SOM in 1965)? I particularly find her in SOM and Marry Poppins (although I actually haven't seen this move) attractive. She's aged pretty decently, but I was smitten watching her in SOM.

Tell me how weird I am.

Hey, Conne would dig Julie Andrews as she looks now. I dig her as she looked back in '65, putting her around my age. She was hot, man. Plus that british accent...

She was playing a 16 year old. She easily looked like she could have been out of college. Not sure how old the actress was when she actually played that role, but she did look good. If you do a where are they now search, she has also aged quite a bit, and is far from her glory days.

Julie Andrews still looks beautiful IMO. Such a shame that she lost her voice because it was sublime. Here she is with Angela Lansbury and Rupert Everett. This is from a few weeks ago.

I remember hating Mary Poppins the one or two times I saw it as a child but came across it on TV a year or so ago and Julie Andrews kind of turned me on.

There is something about her and the way she played her roles. She sang well, looked great, and was very poised. She carried herself in a certain way that I now appreciate. That and the goodie-two-shoes character has to be a turn on for any man.

Conne -- not bad for someone pushing 80, but I prefer the way she looked 40+ years ago.

Man.
Age is not doing these folks any favors...

Lansbury and Everett look like those cadavers being used in that Chinese human anatomy exhibition. Andrews does look good for her age, if a bit "nun-ish"
