Gitman Brothers Vintage - Page 282

Anybody know what's with the difference in sizing between Gitman Vintage on their site and other sites like Indigo & Cotton? A small on their site is 18.25" shoulder and 19.5"chest while on I & C it's 19" pit to pit and 17.5" shoulder. And wouldn't 18.25" be considered too large for smalls? Would it look weird if the shoulders don't fit?

I don't think there is any difference in their make and cut (except for their sizing inconsistency which some of the members posting here face, but not me)

The difference in measurement, I would assume, is the difference in how each person measures the garment and the measuring tape used (some badly made ones have measurements that are off).

I wear a small and have always went with a small despite the given measurements on different websites.

Ah, that's reassuring. Thanks!

Normal Gitman Bros isn't bad, still a quality shirt though fit would vary depending on what retailer chose. Have a few Gitman shirts in fabrics I missed from Vintage line, some fit even better as there isn't the billowy back

Still a nautical one here in a few sizes:

Make sure to use a dealflyer coupon, I got this one when the 50% off applied

I have a quick question.  If I fit a medium in scotch and soda shirts (although it is VERY fitted) and fit the slim fit hugo boss, medium in 7 diamonds,  Would a medium in vintage fit me?

Wish they would use the smaller collar on all their shirts. :/

I suspect it is what a store chooses to order. Stores like OC only have small collars (from what I can see, I could be wrong) but stores like Need Supply carries only 3" collar shirts season after season. I myself prefer the 3" collars.

i know 14.5" typically equates to small (and 15.5" medium), but does anywhere (besides union) carry shirts in 15.0"? trying to avoid MtO..

Any particular reason you prefer the 3"?

I don't think I own any GBV shirts with the smaller collar. I normally wear a size small and I think the collars look big on my neck/head. I still wear them and it's one of my favorite shirting brands nonetheless.
