Club Monaco makes a better shirt cut then Gitman for crying out loud, despite the family's "long years of shirtmaking experience".

I kept the buying the shirts a) because it was the only remotely quality option in my area (I don't order blindly online anymore) and b) the fabrics are pretty awesome (some of the best quality fabric out there, I'll give them that). But now that I've found an alternative (check United Stock Dry Goods shirts, they blow Gitman out of the water in the fit department) I'm not spending another dollar on these billowing overpriced wrecks.

I've got an extensive collections of larges (ugh, all that wasted cash) so if you're interested in a size large Gitman firesale PM me.

I've owned way more expensive shirts than Gitman and their buttons pop off too. It's really just a fact of life, and for me it's more of a pleasant surprise if a button hasn't popped off in a really long time.

Gitman shirts fit me very well, so that's just a personal thing I guess. I used to remove the box pleat but have come to embrace it at this point. And also if you're buying Gitman at retail you have lots of money to throw away or you're impatient, everything I've ever wanted from Gitman I've gotten at at least 40% off. usually even more.

I really want the unionmade liberty shirts, specifically the rose print one. Hope they go on sale but doubtful since it's Unionmade

For what is worth, I've got two GBV Seersucker shirts and the navy cherry one is definitely a lighter fabric than the blue and white striped one I have. A great summer shirt. Haven't handled any current season seersucker though.

Yeah, I've had my eye on that one too although shipping to the UK is more of a deal breaker at the moment.. Part of me thinks it may go on sale this time around, fingers crossed. They've had it for about a year now and it still seems to be available in all sizes. Either they ordered a ton of stock or its just not selling.

Same. Annoying that Liberty don't stock it. Actually, Liberty don't stock Gitman anymore full stop.

Word to never buying them full price though. I own about 10 of their shirts, and the only one I paid full price for was the Hill Side made to order one.

I love liberty london fabrics. Wasn't particularly impressed with the unionmade x gbv x liberty london pieces though.

I actually seen the same fabric on a pocket square in J Crew on Regent Street so part of me is tempted to go in to Liberty and see if I can pick up some cloth and send it off to someone like Luxire to see what they can do.

Not a bad idea! My uncle was a store manager at Liberty back in the day (70s - 80s) so would often get my Mum rolls and offcuts of fabric for free. Always remember having a pair of really worn out jeans and her lining the holes with Liberty fabric so it showed through, and on the cuffs. Pretty dope thinking back. I think Edwin did a similar thing pretty recently in fact! So Ma' was clearly ahead of the curve.

Can't say I have any strong opinions about them either way but some folks seem to think the regular GBV collars are too big.

Regular GBV collars are massive and unwieldy and terrible

Hmmm I much prefer the larger collars. Im a big guy though
