how do Gitman shirts this season fit? i've been reading some things about how the fits are slightly changed this year. i'm 5'10" and 170 pounds, size 33-34 pants and 40 chest. im usually in between M or L for most brands, i'm thinking of going for a size L in Gitman shirt unless anyone here strongly advises against that. also, do gitman shirts shrink in the wash?

go medium, should fit fine. I'm 6' and about 200lbs right now and the larges fit me and are not super slim or anything. I can actually get a medium on but it's super tight and not wearable. I think you would be swimming in a large at your size. Unless you have really broad shoulders or long arms I think you should go for a medium. In my experience they do not shrink appreciably in the wash.

How important is full vs half canvas to you for heavier sport jackets?
