I don't have huge arms, either (I'm 5'10" and my upper arms are maybe 14.5"). Arm holes are a touch higher than I was anticipating, too, given the talk about boxy fits and such. I know some GV shirts run slimmer than others, so maybe this is one of them.
Otherwise, really love the material. A bit rugged looking, yet has an incredibly smooth hand. Collar stands nice and tall, too.

I find that the arms may be a bit tight for me when bending / folding my arms on some shirts. The herringbone is a heavier weight so that's probably why you have the issue (a few flannels I have are / were tighter in that area). The armholes are a bit higher than your average shirt but I'd actually prefer if they were even higher. I think the fit is good for a casual shirt though.

Love Gitman's collars, I've got a shorter neck and they are a touch high for me but still better than most brands.

I have to say one of the things that I really loved when I got my first Gitman was the collar. Makes it look almost elegant.

Don't know about their measurements, but I do have this shirt in a large. I am about 6'2" 185 pounds and am somewhere between a Medium and a Large in Gitman. My usual shirt measurement is 15.5 / 34. In the standard Oxfords and Overdyed Oxfords (my feeling is that the standard and overdyed oxfords are the same sizing), I can wear a medium, but it is rather tight and really cannot be tucked in, but looks good untucked. It is, however, not very comfortable.

The Large is a bit roomy, but not baggy, and can be worn tucked in, but looks a little on the large side untucked. It is, however, very comfortable.

Missed this earlier, it should be about 23 p2p 19ish for a Large. Measurements are not always accurate online

Dunno if this is a repeat, but GV's got some great exclusives on their own website.

I'm 5' 9" about 145 lbs. Would a small work for me, or do I need to go with an xs?

I want the polka dot chambray, but can't find an xs anywhere.

I am 5 9 145 ~150LB and also have polka dot chambray in small. I find this shirt is bit smaller than other gitman shirts I got but I think it fits me fine.
I hope this helps

Pardon the plug, but I do have an unusual NWT SS oxford for sale (in sig). Thought perhaps the dedicated fans might be interested...

Saw that posted. Dope shirt. Wish it was a small.

Were doing a couple day flash sale on a bunch of Gitman shirts at Brigade. The only exclusions are the top three shirts on that page that just came in. The discount is 25% off all the others listed and is good through Friday. Use code styleflash25 to get the discount. I can measure any shirts that you guys want actual measurements for the shirt you are going to receive.

The sizes are a little picked through but there are some good styles left in the bunch. We have a couple club collared shirts in there which are a nice change of pace for the summer.

Sheesh. That is a mess of good deals. Wish you had some more mediums.

A little on the slim side, but sizing up might be too big. Could just be your build...

Is that the Roland Garros chambray? I have that shirt in a medium and it fits me pretty close to that. Just a little too tight for comfort.

I'd size up one, in my opinion it doesn't look that great. That said, I wish I had your build and your problem.
