Whenever you need to, no more often than once a week.

Love the blog. Never really knew what I needed to use for my mild acne but one of your most recent posts really helped. On that note though, I have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind:

-Do you apply the Cetaphil Cleanser for oily skin onto a dry face, like the Cetaphil Cleanser for senstive skin?
-Should the Cetaphil moisturizer used at night be the generic SPF free one? I noticed the Cetaphil SPF free
moisturizers don't really mention if its appropriate for your face or not.

Thanks man!

It does seem to be a good blog.

Concerning ingredients, less is more. Assuming the SPF version is otherwise identical to the version without sunscreen (Google the ingredients that differ), at night use the version without sunscreen.

Lots of great advice on the blog youdee...good job!

To answer your ?'s, Cetaphil for oily skin should be used on a wet/damp face, like a standard cleanser. I'm not sure if anyone still applies the gentle Cetaphil on a dry face & wipe off...but they should stop and rinse it off properly.

As mentioned above, SPF-free is better at night...no need to protect against the sun when sleeping....and contrary to popular belief, a properly formulated moisturizer can be used anywhere, face or body.

turbozed - That's great, glad I could help! scugger - Thanks a lot! I've got a few more bits and pieces to do but i'm really happy with the way it turned out. Now that it doesn't look butt ugly I have to figure out a way to promote it...

Sorry it took so long but I'm doing the brow, nose and ear hair post soon (just working on a way that makes it foolproof, don't want to be responsible for guys walking around with skinny over-plucked brows).

I'll get on the others too, as for the sunscreen one - a blob of liquid bronzer mixed into your sunscreen should do the trick. Clinique for Men has a nice one, it's translucent so it doesn't look like you have a thing on - it just darkens up the colour of the sunscreen.

I now buy products which have a 0-3 rating according to their scale.

The only skin cleansing product they give a "3" or lower is a male genital odor reducer. Interesting.

When applying a serum and moisturizer, do I have to wait for the serum to be absorbed before applying the moisturizer?

Just leave it to dry down a bit, 30 seconds should do it.
