Women can definitely sense things.

In 1989 or so I was in the 30th row at the Bruce Springsteen "Tunnel of Love" Tour. During the slow opening of "Cover Me' (live version) the coed student I was with immediately said, "Something's going on between those two". She was talking about Bruuuce and Patti Sciafflia (sp?) the backup singer.

I told her Bruce S. was married already. "Whatever", was my friend's reply, "I'm telling you something is going on between those two".

Sure enough, six months later the news hit the tabloids that Springsteen was indeed messing around with Patti... and now he is married to her.

So the girl I was with knew something was up... and we were FAR away from the guy. You'd be with the wife... and she will know.

Obviously the risk of exposure is orders of magnitude higher for a public figure (especially a self-righteous and hated one). For a regular guy that's successful enough to afford the higher-end girls, but is not in the media, that doesn't engage in these activities at home, and that doesn't give his real info, there is very little risk. If I were married and doing this, I would probably buy minutes on a new SIM card as well, just to cover all the bases.

Anyway, I'm not saying that anyone should cheat on their wife, just that if they have an itch they need to scratch, there are much better options than having an affair.
