Okay, not to get into too much disgusting detail, but standing and walking for 12 hours at a time has begun to take a toll on my.... nether regions (on the anal side). One thing I've noticed is that it's worse when I wear boxers than when I wear boxer briefs. I assume that's because there's more room to rub or whatever. Anyway, what can I do to keep it from chafing while at work? I'm sitting down after tonight's service and ****** is killing me. I have to be at work in 12 hours for another 12 hour shift tomorrow, so any quick advice would be very appreciated. Baby powder? Lotion? Ewwwwy thought, but if that's what works....

...had you posted this in DT's my answer would be different...

That said, it might be the cut of whatever brand you're wearing. That said, since you've got a shift in 12 hours, best thing for now might be to use lotion now and then baby powder as you're dressing for work, and go with the boxer briefs for work.

Use vaseline. Shave but less often.

I worked in restaurant kitchens for years and I know how bad this sucks. Most restaurants I worked in had a box of corn starch in the men's room to help absorb the moisture. Baby powder is basically corn starch with a little talc added. Try the corn starch and the boxer briefs.

baby powder right out of the shower. you can go with gold bond medicated at first- its awesome, like ten thousand tiny elves. once the chafing calms down, i would switch to regular johnsons for daily use.

ass chafing? wtf?

Theoretically, I would second gold bond. Also, is this a cheek on cheek issue or a boxer issue? If it underwear, you should buy some softer material underwear - it's generally more comfortable.

Baby Powder and in the Culinary World, it is a condition commonly referred to as 'Chef's Ass' and is very ******* painful.
Basically when you are standing over a hot stove for hours, perspiration follows it's natural course South.
A headband, while it works, may not be sartorially practical for you - so load up on the baby powder or cornstarch.

Don't shave the butt. I'm not as adventurous as kunk.

LOL...Chef's ass. That sucks. I don't know if I could stretch a headband around my huge kardashian ass.

Okay, I got some petrol jelly. My momma said to take a shower, let things "air out" by walkin around nekkid for a while, and then putting the jelly on when it's totally dry. Then she said use to baby powder for daily use to stop more chafing.

BTW, I have a feeling it's going to feel really strange to rub this **** between ****** cheeks.

You asked your momma? Is she gonna come over to rub that vaseline on for you?

No.
Actually, I asked my dad via text message, they were driving somewhere, he started laughing out loud, so my mom took pity on me and called me. What a dick!

Rather than Vaseline, go to a bicycle shop and look for something called Chamois BUTT'r. Cyclists use it to prevent chafing. It will wash out easier than vaseline or petroleum jelly.
