I got lucky when I got my tickets. We snuck in through the fence at the Meadowlands and then went to the box office about 5 minutes after the concert had started. They had some tickets that someone hadn't picked up and sold them to us for cheap. President Clinton was at the same concert.

Their last three records suxxored, but they supposedly still put on a brilliant show. I saw them back in like 2003 for $60, front row behind the (open) stage. It was awesome. Unfortunately, they've added a lot of wack songs to their repertoire since then...some decent singles in there, tho.

My advice: if you've never seen them pay what you have to. Prices are only going to go up.

U2 is still solidly on my list of "bands I've got to see before I (or they) die". I don't know about $300+ plus per, though.

Will match your 5k.

I saw them back in the late 80s, Rattle and Hum. Will admit I was a big fan, once upon a time. Then again, I had a new wave mullet too, just like Bono.

paid $35 to see them back in the early 90s. they put on a freakin' great show. a friend and i waited in line to get tickets they had held back until the day of the show. turns out they were floor seats and after the band started we all rushed the stage. yeah, good memories from that one.

This thread is useless without pictures.
