Actually, they'll wear out a lot quicker than, for example, APC jeans. The problem with them (the Levis) is that the denim is made with inferior yarn. Within a few washings, they will start to develop "tufts" because the denim is not made with good quality, long staple yarn. At $40 or so, you get what you pay for, unfortunately. Are APCs worth 3 x as much? Depends on perpective, I guess. In terms of durablility alone I would say that APCs are worth at least twice as much as the regular Levi's shrink to fit.

there's a store in long beach row area, that sells dry jeans for the $90 range. never actually seen a pair though, just read about it from a topic awhile ago. they are recreations of levi style dry jeans
