A lot in a short time...hell I have out-of-shape clients that do 60 in under 4 minutes.

My fifth grade teacher always made us do burpees during P.E. He was the meanest bastard I've ever known, so I don't even want to think about burpees because they remind me of him. I'll never do another burpee again, ever, that's for damn sure.
