Party Down on Starz

New show... written by, among others, Paul Rudd and Rob Thomas (creator of Cupid and Veronica Mars).

Stars Adam Scott (the evil brother from stepbrothers) and a bunch of other awesome people.

Besides being on Starz, it's also on Netflix and the pilot is on Youtube.

I'd say the first two episodes were good, and the third was great.

I interviewed Scott for my public radio show as well as Martin Starr, who you might know from Freaks & Geeks or Knocked Up. I interviewed Jane Lynch, too, thought hat one's not up. It's really a monster cast.

Anyone else been watching?

You can watch them all for free at www.starz.com also. It is a pretty funny show.

One year late but I just started watching this show, wasn't expecting anything but it's actually pretty great It manages to be both hilarious and somewhat depressing at the same time. Oh and Lizzy Caplan is Too bad it'll probably get canned due to the usual crappy ratings. . . .

What a strange coincidence that this thread popped back up to the top when it did. Netflix recommended this show to me yesterday, and I ended up watching the entire first season after work (and getting basically no sleep in the process). Hilarious. I can't wait to dive into season two. This is a very undiscovered gem, as far as I know. I heart Netflix's collaborative filtering algorithm. Martin Starr FTW on this show.

How far did you get? In my experience, the first few episodes of Season 1 were sort of up and down. But it gets progressively better. The episode "Celebrate Ricky Sargulesh" (toward the end of season one) is probably the high point of the show for me so far.

This is actually a pretty good show. I try to catch the new episodes every week.

And I seriously love Lizzy Caplan, you guys have to see her in True Blood.

The first episode was rather boring to me. If you guys suggest it gets better as you go, I may check into it some more.

Finished entire series on Netflix, it's pretty good though not in an in-your-face way, which I enjoy. Oh, and Lizzy Caplan of course.
