Masters 2009

Masters starts tomorrow in Augusta.

Who's watching and who will you root for?

I'm pulling for Tiger to get green jacket number 5, but Phil seems to be playing well and Geoff Ogilvy is my (not so) dark horse prediction.

What do you guys think?

I'll definately be watching when possible(life goes on) , Im a bit out of golf so not sure about where the players are standing.. but if phils confidence is up he can do good on augusta...

I'm still holding out for Greg Norman. I think he's forgotten about '95 ('96?) and is ready to get his first green jacket.

Rooting for Tiger. I just want to see him get to the Majors record, then other people can start winning them.

Why doesn't coverage start until 4:00???

Is there any way to tune into full coverage starting with the first tee-times?

In SI this week, there was a line on Dan Patrick's page about who you would take in a bet, Tiger or the rest of the field. Seems like a pretty fair contest.

He has 2 to 1 odds.

And the field has only 5/2. Amazing.

Mike and Mike in the morning were saying that this wasn't ESPN's decision and that if they could they would air every minute of the Masters. Basically this was an Augusta decision. Not sure why - maybe more revenue from the site traffic?

iirc, they've always limited their television exposure, quite sharply. From what I've read, they are very very controlling in how they are portrayed and quite like their exclusivity. And they don't really care what other people think or want - it's their tournament and they'll run it how they like.

The charmless Tiger would be a dull winner. I'd like to see Rory McIlroy, Greg Norman, actually anyone else with a bit of charisma win the thing instead.

I want a Norman vs. Mickelson play-off just so we can see who is the biggest choker in golf history.

The Masters proves that Georgia is the most bucolic, gorgeous place in the world.
