How many shirts do you own?

Just curious how many shirts on average you guys have. I have a rather small collection but am slowly building it up.

1. Eton, white, french cuffs, 100% cotton, made in ???, $250 + tailoring
2. Eton, white, 100% cotton, made in ???, $250 + tailoring
3. Versace Collection, light blue, 100% cotton, made in ???, not sure how much it costed since it was a present
4. Hugo Boss black label, pink, made in Turkey, $200 + tailoring
5. Marcs, 100% cotton, made in China, AU$80 down from $150.
6. Mason Reed, 100% cotton, French cuffs, made in Thailand. This is not a designer label, I picked it up from my local menswear store for AU$50 down from $100.


2x bespoke shirts on the way, should be getting them in 2-3 weeks time. Also maybe getting some more from a tailor based in Parramatta, Sydney as suggested by a fellow SF'er Sator.

By far and large, the best shirts out of my rather humble collection are the Eton ones, the fabric is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately none of my shirts fit me the way I wanted even after alteration, that's why I'm going bespoke.

I can post some pictures if anyone is interested.

Sure, I will once I get them.

Funny my Eton shirts don't have any pockets and there is no logo on the shirt anywhere. I just love caressing the fabric

I've got about 40 or so. The basic solids and then I stretch out from there into mostly square and striped patterns.

I have around 25 shirts....10 for everyday use and most of them are YSL because they're cheap and cheerful...
My good ones are Charvet, Thomas Pink ,Frey,Brioni,Gf Ferre,Armani and Versace..
As i do work in a ghastly uniform , i tend not to buy anymore shirts and concentrate on my suits and shoes.

100+ and I recently commissioned 4 more. I suppose that was unnecessary.

Only unnecessary garnments are enjoyable...
Think of the guilt ,the adrenaline rush ,the excitement...
Nothing worse than buying something i do really need...
In that case , i always finish buying something functional and rational,,,

I plan to increase both numbers this weekend in NYC.

I've got 23 shirts in my regular rotation:

1. 10 OCBDs (5 sold blue, 5 blue striped)

2. 12 spread collar, French cuff blue shirts (6 sold blue twill, 2 light blue striped poplin, 2 dark blue striped twill, 2 light blue checked poplin)

3. 1 spread collar, French cuff white poplin shirt.

Dress shirts (for wear with suits) that I actually still wear in a rotation: About 10. Most of which are custom.

30 or so shirts total, 18-20 of which are in the regular rotation. Still in the process of replacing a few ill-fitting pre-SF shirts.

Maybe 60 or so? It's a motley assortment, but pretty balanced as to patterns (solid, stripe, check), styles (collar/cuff/cas.vs.bus.) and colors.....

I've got about 20-25, but I always feel like I need so many more.

30 or 40...nothing extraordinary...just your run of the mill small-time bargain basement stuff with a nice balance of stripes and solids...but needs more checks.
