45 and try to keep a steady rotation such that they "wear" evenly. Majority are Cafe Coton, then Charles Tyrwhitt, a few RL Black Label, and a few Brunello Cucinelli.

It is a healthy rotation...

I'm happy with the 25 mark..

Just unloaded some junk so now I'm down to 18 with a few on order.

I'm buying 2 TMLewin cheapies today, with 2 Anna Matuozzo on order - that will take me to 14...doesn't sound much as I wear shirts 7/7, but I get the fun of sometimes wearing one out, giving me the excuse to buy more!!

My ideal would be 15 Anna Matuozzo!smile.gif

I've got a couple shirts I have that just don't fit me well and I don't know what to do with them so I've taken to going to sleep with them.

Kinda dumb, I have plenty of pajamas/long sleeved t-shirts for that.

NOT DUMB AT ALL!!!

That's Exactly what I do...either ill fitting rtw or disintegrating bespoke shirts , or shirts that have shrunk...

Then you don't feel so bad about throwing them away when they're really unwearable!smile.gif

I've been an avid menswear enthusiast for as long as I remember and have spent the best part of 10 years developing my style and slowly building up a beautiful wardrobe.  There have been periods where i’ve owned tonnes of shirts but have grown to value simplicity and quality over endless choice and a quick fix from the bargain bins.

I wear shirts 5-6 days a week and currently own 9 (mainly PJohnson MTM & OTR).  Whilst this registers pretty low by the standards of other members, it is more than enough to provide me with sufficient variety and avoid a situation where I’m caught out due to washing.  I now take the view that there is no need to stockpile and purchase shirts only as replacements.  This also means I avoid having a squashed wardrobe :)

My range as it sits today.

- 2 white
- 2 pale blue
- 1 mid blue
- 1 Bengal Stripe (blue)
- 1 pale pink
- 2 misc shirts that change from time to time. (eg: lilac, grey, navy, brown, gingham check, linen etc)

ties… well that’s another story!

My oldest Anna shirt is literally disintegrating into a ball of Carlo Riva cotton threads..but I've worn it to death, it's miles too big now, so when I collapses I'll have 13, even with the 2 I've ordered (which after yesterday's shopping trip I need to save for anyway).

Hope this sees me though the year anyway, as I waste too much money on impulse shopping!smile.gif

Just counted what I have. Have 38 used bespoke shirts, out of which I only wear 10-5 on a frequent basis. Realised that the majority are in some shade of blue and a few are identifical iterations of each other. 12 unworn and still in their wrappers. I have very few RTW shirts because it's hard to get a good fit with OTR shirts -- Have 17 OCBDs, gingham, checked RTW shirts.

18 lengths of unfunded liabilities.

It could be worse - it's only shirts!smile.gif

Just got a slew back from my tailor, altogether I am around thirty, with three more OCBD/Pinpoint BD on the way, but I am getting very close to the life uniform, mostly oxfords and cutaways. At this point I don't really need anymore, unless I see something I utterly cannot resist. From now on I really only hope to have to replaced white shirts in future. I love my shirts, but I can spend my money elsewhere and be put to better use in the grand scheme of life.

Now sports coats and suits, haha….

Lucky you - shirts are an expensive luxury!

Although I didn't need them I ordered 2 more from Anna, because of the amazing shirting, and I've got one of hers that I must have worn about 500 times at least, on the verge of collapse..

I follow the première vision shirting reviews, and the shirtings get better and better!!!

I wish I had my life's haul, as there are so many things I need/want, but I'm still shirts shopping- maybe I'll take a year off shirts next year - a few of Anna's shirts =1/2 pair Lobb boots or a nice leather biker!!!smile.gif

What's up with the 12 unworn ones? Go for "fun" patterns that turned out to be stupid, or something else?
