Thanks. For a moment there I felt I was on this island of shirt inadequacy having so few. It seems you and I think alike having 10 shirts that are good for most situations and wearing the seams off them. I did a count and I have 17 and would like to get to 15, maybe 14.

Started doing bespoke/MTM for shirts in 2011 and the count is now about 16. Mostly patterns but a few solids whites, blues for wear on the wards. Vendors include Gambert, CEGO, DeCarlos, Astor & Black, Turnbull & Asser,

Including the ones I've recently ordered, total of 13.

Mix of bespoke which last for ages, and ready to wear, which fall apart in less than a year, despite being "Jermyn Street " shirts

Wish I could afford all bespoke..

ATM it's:

5 TMLewin
8 bespoke

So getting there!!!

Too many...

Just counted, found 37 in the apartment. I have a couple more in storage, so its probably around 45 all in all.

Out of the 37, 24 are button downs, seems to be my favourite collar :D

How do you guys store your shirts? I have about 30 ironed on hangers which is nice in the morning, but takes an awful lot of space..

Lucky you,I wish I had 45 shirts!!!

I keep mine all on hangers like a shop rail - if you folded them they'd look very scruffy:)

In 2009, I had 75 counted up (!!!7, so I gradually sold them all off on eBay and love my current 13!smile.gif

Not on my current income, but if I was a Wall Street billionaire

But then I rotate the same ones anyway, which eventually shrink or wear out, so maybe I do only need 13 after all!!!!smile.gif

To make up for that I just ordered 12 more. Stupid behavior.

When you are addicted then you are addicted!!!!http://www.styleforum.net//images/smilies/bounce2.gif

I love shirts too!
Still remember my own first hand picked by me blue one when I was 11!

Nobody noticed if I change my jeans every day, but they do comment on my shirt!!

Just pining over 3 which I wore out completely (but I'm replacing them with 5 on order!)
I added 3 hardly worn ones from my collection into my rotation and will keep the 5 pristine!!(OCD or what?)

You make me fee better about loving shirts!!!

I wouldn't say no to a collection your size!
Keep collecting!smile.gif

Few of any of the above are not natural fabrics. Most are either Polo Ralph Lauren or Brooks Brothers, none purchased at full retail price.

Also since the rotation is about three times a season, some of these shirts are close to 25 years old.

So you own 300 shirts?

I'm dying of jealousy

Although I couldn't find 300 that I like, I don't think..

I'd love 300 shirts -13 isn't enough...
