Nothing wrong with a cold, well-made vodka. But there is a lot wrong with paying more than $23 for a bottle of it.

You guys are insane. Go buy a bottle of Zyr, stick in the freezer and let me know what you think when you sip that stuff straight. You don't need to hate on good vodka to proclaim your love of single malt or gin - these things are not mutually exclusive

Wow, I hope Safeway starts selling it so I can impress the chicks.

Hmmmm, is it that good? I've had some decent bottles before, like belvedere, stoli, and GG, and just didn't like them that much. At ~$30, Zyr sounds like it's cheap enough to buy and try out. I'll try to find a bar that serves it and try some. I'll trust your rec if you like it as a non-drinker.

I think it's awesome, but I'm a small timer - I don't buy expensive liquors of any kind. I also love to sip a little glass of Zubrowska after dinner.

serioiusly, the best vodkas are like 6 bucks a half liter, and have a marketing budget of exactly 6 bottles that were given out at a football game. and everyone involved in making them only speaks polish.

but, yes, pop em in the freezer for a couple of hours and they are fantastic.

Ohhh, the sign is upside down. I was wondering WTF this was all about.

the true test of a vodka is its taste at room temperature. All vodka tastes the same if you get it cold enoigh

not true - more important is the texture, good vodka gets a great texture when it is cold

I don't know what that picture is.

I endorse both of these posts. 1) I am a lover of spirits without prejudice. 2) The cold suppresses the volatilization of the higher fractions in any spirit, thus they are rounder cold.
