I received them today, 15 days after being despatched. It seems they stayed at the customs (Switzerland) more than the usual time. They had to open the package suspecting the value amount declared was too small (the envelope with the transaction details was inside). The box was much bigger than a normal shoe box, probably that's the reason, but this made me pay an additional 5 dollars just for opening the box (total about 30 USD for the taxes). I ordered the Saddle Gibson Burnished Grain in 9 UK (only ones available in my size when ordered), I usually wear 8.5 and they will fit excellent with an insole. The leather is excellent (probably this justify the highest price in their shoe offers), extremely soft and will develop a very nice patina. They are a bit rustic (the grain is not as fine as seems in the photos) and not sleek enough for my taste. I will probably wear them with jeans, cords and tweed. I would have preferred some (half) brogues in suede, so if anybody has them in 8.5, I'm interested. Considering the price for pre-order, I would prefer some Grenson Rose or Masterpieces available from ebay uk, or add 50 quid for a pair of C&J.
