I'm wanting a pair of shell saddle shoes by Alden too.

I dunno. Shell in the summer heat & humidity? Sockless? Doesn't sound like a good idea.

Spring and summer is a good opportunity to wear shoes that are not colored brown or black. Is anyone making navy bucks this year? Nordstrom has some under their own brand name for $100, but I was curious if there were more options available. Some good deals on RL summer shoes from last year: http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44113189&TP=11227 http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44113185&TP=11227 http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44113190&TP=11227 http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44113188&TP=11227 http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44113195&TP=11227 (though the guillie lacing is questionable) http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44113193&TP=11227 I also like these PS loafers, which I missed out on in my size: http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44141506&TP=11227 http://www.yoox.com/item.asp?cod10=44141511&TP=11227

I don't believe you have a pair of espadrilles in your wardrobe. Here's a photo of one from Hermes.

Hermes? That's just silly. The real deal should set you back well under $10.

I have both. The white bucks have not been out in a long time. They will get out this year, though. Your "Old Friends" thread reminded me of them.

We can also not forget Alden's boat shoe, rated 2nd most inane boat shoe by the Devil's Island crew.

In choosing espadrilles, am I better with ones that have an elastic strap on top, or ones without one?

Get the kind that have the straps that you wrap along your calves Sparticus.
