Left Field jeans

Thread Starter
anyone tried the Left Field jeans?

I found these on CONTEXT and BiG sites. they look pretty good, just wonder how they fit.

The denim in the tweed model on BiG looks awesome. Someone over on sufu ordered them and said they seemed heavily washed - very soft. Fit looks very repro-like.

I'm planning to head up to BiG in a week or so; hopefully I'll get a chance to check them out. Don't have high hopes for the fit, but we'll see.

I'm thinking about buying these: http://blueingreensoho.com/site/inde...mart&Itemid=28 What's everyone's experience with this brand so far?

The Tweed is disgusting in a great way. Feels almost like they're made out of cardboard; not that they're just stiff but literally made out of cardboard. I don't think I'd go out of my way to buy a pair unless I was looking for something completely experimental.

I shall never get these jeans, but I shall want them so badly.

They're so very... steampunk

i'm just not a fan of the coin pocket. but they look very cool, i've considered getting a pair in the past since they are cheaper than most.

Considering how relatively new and limited they are, it's anyone's guess. I think I remember the rep saying that they'd be fairly hard to fade, though, as I asked the same question back in Jan.

These jeans have more of a chance to look like Keith Olbermann than they do "steampunk" but maybe I never realized that anything brass in color is associated with that aesthetic. I'm not sure who you'd be flaming, either. Who gives a shit about steampunk on this forum?

I've got the raw tweed and they are are very unique pair of jeans. After a wash and a couple wears, the tweed slubs are expressive. They denim is fairly light and very comfortable. The cut on the raw version is spot on. I would stay away from the rinsed/one-wash version and the cut is bulgy in the hips and the one-wash process is bordering a hard wash. There are also a lot of nice details - felled seams, bandana pocket bags

In terms of these of Samurais...I'd go for the raw tweed because that denim is extremely limited and there aren't many pairs left. You can always get Samurais, but the raw tweed is not going to be around much longer. I am alternating between between the Left Fields and Samurai S5000VX.

Ha, you think I'm worked up? It just simply didn't make any sense, even as a joke. Might as well have said, "These jeans remind me of chocolate autumn winds that smell of paper."
