You can still import them for personal use. I've been smoking the Indonesian Djarums for a while (even though the tar content and nicotine content is much higher) for about $3 bucks a pack. The Djarum Originals they sold were probably the best cigarettes I've ever had. Too bad they don't have an Indonesian equivalent.

I haven't felt anything different from a normal cigarette either.

What the Fuck???? They banned clove cigarettes in the US? What the fuck???? FUCK THOSE NANNIES IN WASHINGTON DC. LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE.

Notice most of them are made elsewhere - which means the politicians in DC don't get as big of a cut, since they don't make business tax off the cigarettes. (Yet phillip morris opposed the ban). They won't ban cigarettes though, 'cause they make too much money off them. The scum in DC needs to be thrown out completely. All of them.

I used to get Djarums in a little metal tin. Never failed to attract female attention... always to good results.

Yeah, pretty much everywhere that used to sell clove cigarettes now sells clove cigars. Basically the same thing except with cigar paper. They're not as good, but still a reasonably better tasting alternative to regular cigarettes.

g transistor, where are you importing yours from? I've been looking for a place but it's difficult to justify shelling out $40 or so via western union to some website I have no experience with. And when you say the tar content is higher, do you mean they're higher than the packs they used to sell in the US?

Cloves taste like smoking incense gimme a menthol any day. No tears were shed when they banned these. The only cool thing is that they were black.

Cloves are the dominion of hipsters and fat goths.

^^^
Fat goths don't smoke cloves, and all the hipsters around here smoke Pall Malls or Natural Americans. The clove smokers around here are pretty much all ethnic...a Pakistani friend of mine said it reminded him of his mom's cooking.

I have a guy in Florida who imports for me and sells me a pack of 10 for $37.50. I don't pay by Western Union, it was some other service but he's been legit so far. I haven't been ordering much from him lately because I'm cutting back on the smoking but last I heard he raised the price because of "customs" to $50.

And yeah, the tar content was higher than the packs they used to sell in the US. Tar and nicotine content varies from country to country, and since these come straight from Indonesia they're about 3-4 times as strong as normal cigarettes here...

If they are doing away with flavored tobacco products because they are appealing to children, how long until they do away with flavored spirits?

It's pretty bullshit reasoning. Obviously this doesn't apply to everywhere, but all my friends started off on Newport menthols or Marlboros...no one even touched a clove or flavored cigarette pretty late into their smoking habit. The bill had lots of financial backing from major American cigarette companies though, since they held such a small share in the market.
