i am skinny in the waist but my eating and laziness have placed all of my fat in my thighs.

what can i do to reduce my body fat ratio?

i started running a couple of miles a week and eating less. will running help/hurt losing my fat in my thighs?

Squats would firm your quads and tighten your glutes as well. Try swimming and use the kick board for about 500- 1000 meters. That should help !

you can't lose fat in any particular part of your body... if you use more calories than you consume, through exercise and diet, you'll lose weight. simple as that.

i'm dealing with the same issue. since i have a hella scrawny upper body and decently sized legs, I think I'll bulk a little bit up top before I cut weight, so that my arms & torso don't look manorexic.

Hahahaha... this is what I thought when I read the thread.

OP, you need to be running a couple of miles per day, not per week.

Lower body exercises will beef up the lower body muscles, but sounds like you are pretty chubby or have big leg muscles already. Solution is to run like the wind along with a disciplined diet.

You don't even have to run. You can do other forms of fat-burning cardio.

You can't remove fat from certain areas, it comes off in layers like an onion.

no way... i dont think running will help to lose weight around thigh area... it wil infact increase it... but it will surely help to lessen overall weight...

ugh this is retarded.

If you run, as long as you're not doing heavy sprints/anaerobic exercises, you're not going to drastically increase your muscle.

If you do long distance running, your muscles won't get better- it's an aerobic exercise that's basically all about getting your body to move as efficiently as possible.

So, go run outside. Run 3-5 miles a day, eat less, and you'll lose fat. You can't control where you lose it, but eventually you'll lose it on your legs.
