Do you guys think the EPLA Doyle Jacket Cone Mills Heavyweight Chambray will look like a denim jacket?

Mike,

Apologies if answered already, but which cotton fabric would work best for a MTO Driggs summer (or year round in California :) ) chino:

  • 7.8oz Japanese garment dye fine twills
  • English sanded canvas
  • Egyptian Khyber Cloth

That is exactly what I was concerned about and ultimately the reason why i decide to not jump on the band-wagon.

Let's say I'm a 40 in LBM 1911 with not too much room to spare. 40 in Doyle or move up to the 41? Love that chambray.
Almost same question; would I take the same size in the Doyle that I take in my Epaulet Southwick? Thanks!

1) I'm 5'10 with a 36" chest. Should I go with a size 36 Doyle? 2) Any restocks coming for the Olive Duck Canvas Doyle?
Probably, but the best route is to measure a similar jacket that you own to see how it matches up with our specs. And yes, we'll definitely restock the Doyle in Olive Duck. A little birdie told me that it's going to come in French Blue Organic Duck as well.
Hey Mike, I'd like to order that Doyle instead of that G&L pre-order that never happened, is there anything special I need to do?
Got your email - thanks! We'll get you covered for that.
When will ya be selling those over dyed LBMs?
They should arrive in NYC at the end of this week, probably online next week.

Not really. It's going to look like a Chambray jacket, which is pretty close to the vibe of the current duck canvas model. I'm not sure what brand this is (Woolrich Woolen Mills, maybe?), but figure that it's going to look roughly like this:
1000

Yes, I would move up to a 41 in the Doyle. We find that LBM's run a bit larger than our Southwick pieces, so I believe a 41 will be safe for you. I'd recommend sizing up one for anyone who's in doubt.
! Interested in seeing how those grape canvas Driggs look like!
Oh man, they are boss. They'll be online soon!

I'd rate them in the exact order that you listed. The Japanese Garment Dye is a perfect Cali pant. The English sanded canvas is a touch heavier, but I still wore my pair regularly during my time here. The Khyber Cloth is light and comfortable, but I wouldn't call it a "chino." It's pretty fine and is more along the lines of a dressy cotton trouser. We've sold a lot of them for that reason, but if you're looking for something that can be more casual, then one of the other two would be better.

Yup, I'd recommend your Southwick size.
Testing out some new navy duck walts today:
Love the cuffs on those!

Is Epaulet ever going to offer long sizes in their blazers?

Tall guys getting left out ;(

And a 44/46 wouldn't go amiss either. I am 6ft 3 and it wouldn't be normal, bordering on the malnourished for me to fit in a 42 or under. Not if i want a modicum of muscle.

Pretty much any Southwick, Samuelsohn, or LBM for Epaulet sport coat can be ordered in a 44/46. I believe the MTO will be up and running in the next couple of weeks. In the interim you can just drop them an email. I am a 46R and have about 4 Napoli sport coats and Mike was able to get me a LBM 1911 as well.
