I just found out today that I have to take a field assignment for about 10 months managing a bunch of engineers. Office attire will be jeans and sweatshirts for most, otherwise would have to get two of these. The burnt umber is niiiiiice!

Can any dudes that bought the double monks comment on fit? Did anyone go down 1.5 sizes? Much appreciated...

Whew, got caught up on PM's and finally getting to respond to everyone. First off:

1. Huge thanks to everyone who's ordered and been posting feedback on what they got. We always love that, and I'm glad that you guys are so pleased with everything!

2. The sheer amount of pics being posted is fantastic and very inspirational. I know that all of you guys are busy, so we really appreciate it!

Ah, unfortunately no. The only pieces that we restocked were the Navy Herringbone Harris Tweed and the Brown Houndstooth.

That said, I have some more of that cloth and I can definitely take a special order. Delivery would be around the end of January if you're interested.

Haha, you are totally right. I've actually been thinking about that - it's been awesome to see all the photos that have been posted here, and we need to step it up. There's so much freaking work these days that I'm usually wearing a Fred Perry and Rudy Cramerton's almost every day, but you're entirely right - we all wear a lot of the gear in the store and we'll start showing how we put things together. I own an embarrassing amount of cameras, so I've really got no excuse.

Oh, and to that end, I have some feedback on digital cameras (a few members PM me about this stuff)

Iphone 4S: Although it seems crazy, I can confidently say that the Iphone 4S is officially my favorite camera of all time. More than my Rolleiflex 3.5. More than the Leica M3 that I used to own. They always say that the best camera is the one that you have on you, and it helps that (1) the camera has shockingly good white balance and resolution and (2) you can run apps on it, do a ton of processing to each photo, and immediately upload it.

If you have the 4 and like shooting photos, then definitely upgrade to the 4S. It's worth it just for the camera.

Canon S95 / S100: Best compact camera that I've ever used. Not necessarily better than the 4S during the daytime, but unbelievable at night and with a flash. Party shots with a flash are among the best saturated and exposed that I've seen. It's a nice compliment to the 4S because the Iphone's LED flash is shite.

Ricoh GR Digital IV: I'm surprised by how much I like this camera. Very fun to use, and the fixed wide angle lens is great. In-camera effects are cool too.

Fuji X100: Pain in the ass to use. Slow to shoot, slow to focus, has this stupid macro mode. But once you get the hang of it, the photos are incredible. DSLR quality - maybe a bit better - but with a look and character all of their own.

Canon 5D Mark II: If you have semi-pro aspirations of shooting then upgrade to a full frame camera like the 5D. It's worth the extra money, and the body will really retain its value if you care for it. I shoot almost all of the online shop images with this camera.

Considering getting the Thorogood 685's - not sure what size to get though......

Description says fits true to size - but then towards the bottom says to get the same size you would wear in Clarks DB's (which is not TTS for me)...

Can anyone comment on this?

you can all lol at my glamor shot in the blackwatch cardigan. was getting a new picture done for work and before putting the suit jacket on had them do a few in the cardy.

any chance the olive drab colored material will make it on another pair of pants? green-olive chino but without the side pocket saw the heavyweight twill olive but it seems more on the brown side of the spectrum

Just got my Carmina Chelsea boots and they are SWEET. Any chance you're going to carry some Carmina trees for these?
