Epaulet "Strawberry Thief" Button-Up & Chocolate Wool Flannel Trousers

A vote of confidence for the horsehide Thorogoods here. I picked them up a couple of weeks ago, and they're fantastic so far. The fit is true-to-size. I'm an 11D in the Barrie last; the 11.5D Thorogood fit me perfectly. The gel insole is very comfortable—gentle on my creaky knees. I'm looking forward to beating the hell out of them this winter. I'm sure they'll come through beautifully.

How do Epaulet shirts measure across the midsection in size L? I measure 42 up top, so I would probably have to get an L, but my waist is at 31.

nice kg. i really should put some cuffs on some of my pants. nice look. i don't have the balls to pull off some of the new shirts, but they are badass. i especially like the paisleys.

Any short skinny guys around here pick up the chinos? I'm a 30" inseam and prefer narrow leg openings. I fear hemming the gunmetal chinos to 32" will ruin that aspect.

What's the hem measurement about 3" above the actual?

= ruined project

just curious, do you ask the tailor for a permanent cuff or do you just fold it yourself?

I had it tailored as a permanent cuff. I think it's 1-3/4".

I have mine hemmed to 31ish and they look great.  I can post an opening measurement later, but the taper in that last couple of inches isn't strong enough to be noticeable.  My new gunmetals are going in tomorrow!

This.  I have both Thorogoods and I like to Wolverines too (might get a pair at some point), but nothing beats the horsehidel leather in my opinion.

I'm interested in the Thorogood in horsehide but I'm curious if anyone has any opinions on how they'll do in the snow based on the sole they have.

My friend has damn big feet - size 15 - and most regular runs of shoes are only up to 12 or so at most specialty stores, so I thought I'd check out his options for the future.
Thanks!

Sorry for re-posting, but I think my question got lost in the mix a few days back... biggrin.gif

That's why I kopped the Danner Lownsdales, not from Mike but Tanner Goods directly. But Mike's smart in picking them up; they're going to be great for Alberta winters.

Ok thanks. And for sizing if I'm a 15.5 / M in Polo Custom Fit (fit is spot on normally) do I get the M or L. My shoulders are slightly more built, but the L may be a bit large in the chest area...
Edit: And for the 14 day refund for SF is that for cash?
Polo custom fit is pretty slim, so I'm thinking that a Medium will work for you in the Utility shirt. As it's discounted, it's going to be final sale, so your best bet is to match up our measurements against a shirt that you already own to see how it compares.

Thanks for the sizing info. Will probably get the M then.

Not sure if you already ordered but these shirts run very small.

I normally wear medium in most brands. I ordered a large to size up just in case as I hadn't ordered from Epaulet before and it is very small on me in shoulders/arms and length.

Confession: I check the sizes left on those navy lambswool Rudy's like every day... Can't wait to pull the trigger...
