I got a stain on my Cramertons today...I have clue what it is or where it came from, I just looked down and saw a spot or the right thigh. I need to try and wash these ASAP...hopefully I can get it out. Will these shrink at all if I throw them in the washing machine (cold water, hang dry)?

Is there an ETA on the NST boots? I'm trying to decide whether I should hold off buying another pair in the interim.

Thanks!

It was messy. It involved many old fashioneds, thrice fried potatoes, and some Kung Fu fighting if I remember correctly.

Ah, unfortunately no - Cargo patterns have to be cut separately, so these can only be the regular Walt.

And sure, I'll get the swatches up later today, and we can take preorders against them without a problem. These are going to make up beautifully.

No worries guys - the Cramertons are absolutely are absolutely machine washable. Our trousers always say Dry Clean only, but you can ignore that if the trousers are cotton and not wool.

Wash them on cold water and hang dry and you'll be golden. I've washed mine at least a half dozen times. For the stain, try rubbing some detergent directly into the stain before putting them into the machine.

Sorry, I've got no idea. They're still scheduled for this season.

Unfortunately guys - just like all of the other Alden retailers - I don't get delivery estimates or ETA's. I've learned to not make any commitments with Alden timing, as it's totally out of my hands. I can promise you that once the boots arrive, this thread will be the first place that we announce them, and I won't put them elsewhere (Tumblr, Facebook etc) for 24 hours.

Italian Donegal Tweed Trousers

Hey guys!

Here are the swatches that I mentioned. This is a 100% wool Donegal Tweed from Italy. The hand on this fabric is insanely nice, and these will make for awesome Fall/Winter trousers. Four colors will be produced: Wheat, Cocoa, Charcoal, and Navy.

This is a deadstock cloth, so they'll only be one run. For each color, we can make between 22 and 28 units of trousers. I'm going to cut the fabric on Monday, and we can expect delivery within the next three weeks - right on time for the really cold weather. The price will be $205. These are a really great buy at that price, and you'll feel the quality when you put them on. You guys know that I'm pretty good with picking trouser fabrics, and take it from me - these are absolutely killer.

SPECIAL ORDERS
If you wear a RUDY , and you're interested in a pair or a few pairs, then PM me by Sunday at the latest. You'll need to do a special order for these, as I'm not going to cut any Rudy's otherwise. Payment is 100% up front, and final sale, so it's probably best if you already own a Rudy or two and you're fully confident of your sizing.

If you wear a WALT, then we can take a special order by request. Same process - please PM me by Monday and I'll invoice you. If you're a Walt 28 or a Walt 36, then you'll probably want to do this to ensure we'll have your size. If you take one of the more common sizes, then chances are we'll have some extra stock upon delivery and you don't have to order it up front. But you certainly can if you want to.
Okay - here's the swatches!

It's a full refund of your original purchase. If you order from outside the US, it will be a full refund for the item itself, less the shipping charge.

Well, the decision for my next pair of Walts has just been complicated. Mike, could you give an indication of how heavy the Donegal Tweed is in comparison to the Navy Lambswool? I just picked those up a couple of weeks ago (they're great, obviously), but I live in a warmer climate. My impression is that Donegal Tweed is a rather heavy fabric. Might have to go with the Brown Houndstooth or the Olive Guncheck instead. I appreciate any advice you could offer. Thanks again.

OK can only afford 1 of those now, which one...navy or wheat? I have a brown suit in similar fabric, and another in a blueish color but not as deep as this navy.

I'm totally digging my first Epaulet shirt, the Navy Pin-dot! Sorry you mediums, I nabbed the last one. First time wearing it today and I received several compliments. Bear in mind that I wear custom made shirts a couple times a week, which says a lot about how fantastic the shirt is. It has been nothing short of a total pleasure buying 3 Epaulet trousers and a shirt all in the last few weeks. I'm hooked and it looks like you just keep the hits coming! Great job Mike and Adele.
