I agree that it looks short on him. It might not look so wide if it were longer though.

I am interested in the Triton jacket in Olive. What size do you typically wear and what did you buy?

I'm 6'0 165lb and I'm stuck between a medium/large based on their sizing (especially sleeve length and overall coat length)

I agree that the coat looks great. Haven't been able to find a good wax cotton coat here in Toronto!

I'm picking mine up tomorrow, and I ordered a Small since Mike recommended it, despite the fact that I'm 6'0. If it's too short y'all can expect a 36 Blackwatch on B&S tomorrow night.

I know, my apologies. We had the Vantage and the Seafighter, but the Vantage sold out before I could get them online. We'll restock around late November, and add in a special make-up of the MilSub too.

Guys, I'm pretty sure that it's just the perspective. He's shooting from above with a cell phone - you don't even see his waist.

I took the photo below myself. Damon is 6' 2" and wearing a 38. He's definitely a tall, thin dude. The sweater wasn't pulled or pinned in the back. This is how it fit him straight out of the box:

I'll be happy to shoot some fit pics of myself and our other employee on Tuesday so you can see how it fits a range of guys (Darren is thin, me - not so much). When I made the pattern, I definitely kept it on the shorter side. But thick handknits like this can stretch, and it's entirely possible to get an extra inch of length in both the sleeves and the body if you need it. But in Damon's case (guy pictured above), it wasn't actually necessary. We've sold dozens of these in the store, so I've personally seen it fit a range of guys very well.

I'd be pretty sure that you're a Medium. I'm 5'10" and 195, and wearing a Medium in the fit pic. I've got heavier legs than most guys, but I can't see you wearing the Large in any way. I think that the Medium will give you a good fit body and still leave some room for layering. Sleeve length should be fine. The body length is a bit of a personal preference, but it will definitely be long enough to not look too short.

Well, I certainly hope I'm not contributing to this negativity. I own over twenty pieces from Epaulet, and each one is in regular rotation because of its fit and fabric. It very well may be the camera angle that's causing the cardi in that fit pic to look short. Looking back at Damon's picture, I can't see how I could go wrong. The only reason I haven't picked up one for myself sight unseen is because I lack the funds. Otherwise, the charcoal would be in my possession right now and you'd see some straight-on fit pics right here.
