I could be wrong too, but I agree with you. Fit looked excellent to me.Are you saying too big in the shoulders? Or the body? It looks spot on to me. The button stance is on the lower side, but I think that is a more classic look and I personally like it. Am I wrong there? I'm still learning how to appreciate and recognize a proper fit.
Shouldn't be much different than calf, except the scotchgrain is a little more robust. In other news, I got a pair of the Tyrol PTBs in the mail last week.
They definitely feel more robust than my other Aldens, a pair of brown Chromexcel PTBs. Maybe it's the commando sole vs. oiled flex sole or the Alpine scotchgrain vs. brown Chromexcel. I'm wondering how these will break in.
Still, they're very sturdy. I like them.
Any particular recommendations for care of the scotchgrain leather?
Thanks for the confirmation I'm not completely crazyI could be wrong too, but I agree with you. Fit looked excellent to me.
Anybody own the Carmina Fitzgerald Wingtips? What Alden last is most similar to the Forest? If I wear a 7.5D Barrie & 8D Aberdeen/Hampton, should I go for the UK7?

And yes, I'd certainly vote the Cotton-Cash as one of the ultimate biz-caz pieces. It's a year-round weight and has the nicest hand that you'll ever feel on a cotton blend. I believe that some guys on here picked up the Rivet Chinos in cotton-cashmere last season, so they might be able to weight in on it. This Walt/Rudy fabric is higher end that the Rivet cloth was, and it's really luxurious.
Anybody else remember their first Epaulet Purchase?
I'm 10.5 TTS and 10D Barrie and am 9.5UK on three different Carmina Forest models (two shoes and a boot). I'll add that the two shoes are the same model (Epaulet Alt Wein), but the CXL pair has a little extra volume while the shell pair is close to perfect. I could possibly go down to 9UK, but I wouldn't enjoy it.
