It's now been eight weeks since my order, and both my Rivet Chino and Gitman MTO have yet to even be shipped. Although the chinos have been ready to ship for two weeks. Not quite the 4-6 week time advertised... This is my first order with Epaulet.

How did the length differ for you with the MTO shirts? Isn't the pattern the same epaulet one as other epaulet shirts? I am a little over 6'3 with really long arms and a 46-48 inch chest, so I ended up not ordering one due to sleeve length and the largest size being I think smaller than 46-48 inches in the chest.

I'm normally an XL in Epaulet's standard in-house fit, but for these I went with the Ashland fit (now Keystone) in L and added 2" to the sleeves. According to the measurements online, this technically only differs by 1" in the sleeves compared to the standard fit, and 1.5" in body length. The 0.5" difference in the chest and collar also helped. I'm a 45" chest and it's comfy on me, but there's a chance you may find it a little snug there.

And, FWIW, MTO orders are disclaimed as their delivery being subject to pressures/workload at the factory where they're done. I wouldn't worry though. I don't know if there's anyone on the board who's experienced an unfavorable experience w/ EP that hasn't been remedied and given attention from Mike & co.

I received the FF shirts today, and after trying them on I would say I'm very happy with the fit. The arms might indeed be a bit bigger than the previous Epaulet shirts, but I'm not certain (did not measure) and they do not bother me as-is. The shoulders even seem to be a little bit narrower, which works great for me as the standard EP shirts in Large usually have shoulders slightly wider than ideal for me. So I won't have to "fry" them in the dryer after all, haha!

I'm very happy to see the Ashland MOP buttons on these shirts. Those are some of my favorite shirt buttons out there.

Shirts I got:

Baby blue flecked (flecks are difficult/impossible to see in my picture)
700

Gauzy neutral buffalo check
700

So I washed and dried one of my new rivet chinos inside out the other day to shrink it before I got it hemmed and the blue part on the seams of the chinos fell apart. It doesn't affect the integrity of the pants but I thought it was odd that this happened after one wash prior to wearing it. Is there a better way to pre-wash your pants before getting them hemmed? I usually turn my clothes inside out to keep my clothes newer but I would not like the same thing to happen to my two other chinos. Also not sure how many times or if I need to wash and dry it on hot to get the length right for hemming. Thanks.

I have two or three pairs where the blue part has frayed to some degree.

I wash mine two or three times before I get them hemmed. Once the outer seam (stitched to the herringbone) is as wrinkly as my old pairs I figure they've finished shrinking. Once is never enough.

Just got my factory finds shirts. Wish I had ordered more. Fit works great for me as I've been wishing for a bit more room in the chest and arms.

The bright madras oxford is ****.

Thanks. I have actually sent an email and a pm over the past few weeks, but I've received the same response in both, that they should be here any day now (in the first response, dated March 25, I was told that the shirt should arrive in a week at the most). Anyone who I've dealt with has been really kind, and I appreciate that. I have never intended to be rude at all, just sharing my first experience. I understand it is out of their control to a certain extent, but I would hope for a call to the factory at the least. The sales terms/disclaimer state approximately 4-6 weeks to delivery.

Mike-

Any chance of the navy digital camo fabric making an appearance in the upcoming EPLA shorts?
