LOVE the new FF Rivets. The indigo is super cool but seeing as I own way too much denim I am not sure these make sense for me. Thinking I may go with the Faded Red

Being a maniac, I added all FF fabrics to the cart to check their quantities. It looks like there's a healthy amount of all of them, except for the navy steep twill, of which there's only 2. I don't know if this is in error, but I'd be sure to pull the trigger if I wanted it.

Alden or waxed laces - awesome thanks guys!! :slayer:
Alden waxed or other waxed -- but definitely suggest waxed. Allen Edmondsmay be a good choice. I like Alden flat waxed laces for my casual boots but yours is a balmoral so maybe regular round lace is best.

Mike - Love the FF Rivets! How would you compare the color of the petrol vs the jade? I'm leaning towards jade and/or cloud in the canvas. EDIT: Yes, I know that I'm a pain in the a**, but could you tell me the colors of the five rivets in the stack from top to bottom? This picture helps show the colors better I believe.

Ugh what to do...with the release of Baselworld goodies I've been trying to save for another piece, and then FFs come along.

Potentially! Need to see it in person. The Pepsi caught me offguard -- both that they actually did it but also that they did it in white gold and the entire community is losing their minds haha.

I have the SubC LV so was thinking along of the lines of SubC no date (or SD now), BLNR or even the new Black Bay in blue (much more wallet friendly).

If I could find a vintage Pepsi or Coke I'd get it but find one in good condition, from a trusted seller and that hasn't been polished...near impossible.

The problem is...too many options and too little money :D

I hear you! I'm happy with my Sub C Date but looking into the new BB in blue! On my list for sure. I think 11.5K for the new SD is a bit too much but it's still insane model.

The new pepsi looks good, but I still like the originals/vintage. Have you looked on TRF? If you look hard enough on TRF, I believe you can find a used one in great condition. You just have to keep searching for a bit. I have a SubC date and love it. I think any of those that you mentioned would be a good compliment to the SubC LV. I really like that black bay in blue, and yes it's easier on the wallet! Haha.

The new pepsi is fantastic and I'm glad they finally brought it back. However, I am FIRMLY opposed to the polished bracelet and, therefore, am keeping my old-style pepsi for ever, I guess!

Hey Mike, I was super stoked to nab the Driggs in Carmel Duck Canvas, but I don't know why I didn't realize this before, the inseam is 33" on the Driggs (+1" to let out). I gots me some daddy long legs. So, is it possible to MTO the Driggs Caramel Ducks in a 34" with a 35.5" inseam? If so I want to go that route so I can at least get a short cuff. If not, I may try the stock ones and see where they land on me. As always, thanks a lot, man.

*ps Saw the Washed denim shirt preview on IG - I'll be first in line for that one!

Excellent! Yes the Driggs shrinks about an inch in total length - although they'll stretch out with wear to fall around 33.5" at the max. We can absolutely do an MTO in it for you with a longer inseam - you can even do a 38" unfinished if you want maximum cuff potential. I'll have something to show you guys on the MTO system later today. And yes - the washed denim shirt will be live shortly! We've got about 40 of those, and it made up brilliantly.
Thanks man, yea, this is our Raw Selvedge Denim...sold out, but we're hoping for a washed version on the horizon.

Faded Red Sanded Canvas or Rust Steep Twill?
The Faded Red is a pretty perfect homage to Nantucket Red, but a radically better fabric. It's going to be really bold and cool when it's made up. Rust Steep Twill is great too, but a heavier weave and weight. Faded Red will be much more of a Summer piece.

Sure thing, and I can shoot some more images like this today.

Left Stack: Washed Red Canvas, Burnt Orange Canvas, Rust Steep Twill, Brolive Steep Twill Center Stack: Cloud Canvas, Jade Canvas, Petrol Steep Twill, Navy Canvas, Indigo Canvas Right Stack: Golden Steep Twill, Tan Canvas, Navy Steep Twill Both Petrol and Jade are great colors. The canvas is going to be much more wearable in the heat, so I'd recommend that over the Steep Twill to anyone in the South. The Jade is an absolutely brilliant jewel tone and the color is really rich. The Navy canvas is pretty bold as well - skewing a bit more towards a royal blue. And I was assuming that you were going to grab the burnt orange :)

Haha, yes, we were lucky to get pretty solid stock on these fabrics. Navy Steep Twill did indeed only have enough for 2 units.

Go for the Faded Red, you'll absolutely love it. Going to look boss with those white sneakers we get in mid May :D
I have two pairs of Carmina boots, and frankly the laces are garbage for both. That's the ONLY complaint I have with their boots, but it's annoying and something they should fix. The best thing to do is swap the laces with some Alden laces or other waxed laces. Maybe the folks at Carmina can do something to fix this in the future.
Yup, I'll be the first to affirm this. Carmina, Alden, and VASS boot laces all leave something to be desired, and I've broken them from all three brands. It looks like we haven't updated our Benjos item online in a while, but we actually stock a ton of colors in these. We sell them like hell in the stores, and they're the best boot laces that I've come across. I use Benjos in every boot that I have: http://epauletnewyork.com/products/benjos-boot-laces
Mike - how does the G&L twill compare with the regiment twill that you used for the Walts a year or two ago? I have a pair of those, but looking for something a little lighter weight/more breathable.
Military Twill is superior in every way - better quality yarn, better mill, softer hand, and richer color. The weight is pretty similar to Reg. Twill, but the higher quality fibres will make it more comfortable and breathable. It will break in better as well. You won't be disappointed.
I've been wearing the heck outta my olive Doyle since I got it, kinda crazy since I grabbed it on a whim but it's been my favorite thing in my closet the last few weeks. Question about the FF Rivets, the burnt orange specifically, how close in color are they to the orange wool rivets?
The Burnt Orange canvas is much more muted in tone, as the Orange Wool rivets were kind of "electric". I'm going to put up some additional images of the fabrics today so you guys can see more perspectives on them.
Nice...tomorrow Friday or tomorrow Saturday? Will the G&L military twills be an option for Walt/Rudy/Driggs? I believe you mentioned they were. The midnight oil color is phenomenal! What inseam are you going to run on the EPLA washed duck shorts?
Yup, it will eventually. And the EPLA short inseam will be around 9". I'd personally like it at 5", but I realize that I'm largely alone in that desire.
