Tempted to get a pair of Rudy but thinking the TO Tie Guy snuff boot MTO is going to surprise me soon.

I prefer the current fit's higher rise. But I tend to be midway between a 33 and 34, so the best move for me usually is to buy a 34 and have my tailor take in the waist/seat.

@Ross57 I think that the current fit is superior.. we've sold way more of it and we've gotten better feedback and less returns. We'll probably discontinue the original fit as a option... it was more of a way to carry things over when we made the change.

The current fit cannot be let out, but it's very easy to bring it in, so you can do the 34 and get it tailored in without a problem.

Ok.

What was confusing is the pair I ordered was called Tobacco Khaki and now it is Honey Wheat. There didn't appear to be the flecks of color in this round of tweed cords. That is why I wasn't sure.

In retrospect, I guess there didn't need to be a bum rush to order the dark greys that sold out last round after all.

@metranger8694 yeah, sorry for the confusion. Exact same fabric as before.. the yarn isn't flecked, but it's variegated in tone to give that tweed effect. I changed the name because it took me like 12 takes to do that video, and I only realized after the fact that I kept saying the name wrong. It's dumb, but it's the truth :-)

And we were lucky to get more of the cloth, so it's great to be able to offer a second round. The benefits of the first round was to wear your pants more quickly - these orders coming through now will take about 6 weeks to fill

@bkotsko glad that you dig it! They have some great colors on offer

^ No worries Mike.

Fortunate you could get more fabric for folks who missed out the first time.

My Whacky Tobacky Khaki pair should get here Monday.

All I need is for the temperature to drop way below current 80's. ENOUGH ALREADY with the heat.

I seriously don't even know what to get. Every time I think about the tweed cords, they become absolute musts, but then I look at the heathered cords and the donegals, and I can't decide.

Don't suppose Epaulet does layaway so I can get 1 of each? biggrin.gif

My Steel Twords came today but my mailbox hadn't scanned them in yet when I went to pick up my other packages so I'll have to go next week Haha.

Is the Discount code good for all Rivet MTO fabrics or just the new wool swatches?

TIA

Is it a big pain to keep it up? Old fit was always perfect for me.

@MSchapiro the main issue is new customers - the Rivet Chino is still our most popular "gateway drug" product, so having the original fit is getting increasingly confusing.

That said, the factory has the pattern work for it, so we can always make it on demand. You can just paste it into the special comments field when we eventually deactivate it - it's no problem to make.

@SteveL91 haha, I know we've got a lot of great stuff flying around.

It is a very different vibe between those two fabrics though. The cord tweeds are cotton, and they're very soft and comfortable. They breathe very well too and are machine washable.

The Rivet fabrics are wool.. can look dressier and hold a crease better and will be a bit warmer on very cold days. Dry clean only on them.

Haha, right? It's hot out here too. @metranger8694

Suede blouson and gray moleskin field jacket on a Boston rooftop.

@Epaulet

Any chance of the cotton corduroys being offered in the Rivet fit?

Mike,

Thanks for the clarification. I think I'm leaning towards the tweed cords - I suspect they'll be harder to find again, and them being machine washable is a huge plus. Maybe I'll pick up a pair of the donegals later on in the season for next year.

@SteveL91 yeah, I'd choose them out of the two options. The Rivet fabrics are a price promo, but they're not necessarily selling out. I'm pretty sure that we'll burn through all of the remaining Tweed Cord fabric over the next few days.

Also, a few quick snaps of the Saffiano card case (and a peek into my driver's license mug shot).

I absolutely love this thing.. it's really changed how I use wallets. I've always carried a full billfold, as I tend to bring cash with me. Card cases are nice, but typically don't have enough storage for me. I always have my ID, insurance card, and at least four credit/debit cards. Add cash into that mix and it's too much for most cases.

But not this one... it carried everything really well but takes up radically less space than a full wallet. You guys are really going to dig it! I placed a stock order for this piece in all three colors of Saffiano.. it should be here around Thanksgiving. It will be made exactly as pictured, but the embossed Epaulet logo is going to be a bit smaller.
