Oh man, this might be the year I finally pick up some Donegals. Although, I'll probably punk rock them out a bit: cut them off below the knees and wear with epaulet trainers (wish I'd gotten in on the combat boots to really fit the mood). :/

The new wool RIvet MTO offerings are stunning. 1) Heather Wheat  wool corduroy 2) Oxforfd Cavalry twill  3)  I am leaning towards the Ivy Moss to round things out . Honestly,  can see myself buying any of the Donegal pants but figured the Ivy Moss would be a nice addition to my blue/grey/tan pants collection.

Not often do you see an airforce blue donegal.... some really great stuff.
The moss and mocha donegals are also stunning

@duff406 honestly, no. And it's too bad because I really liked the Calgary products.

You guys have seen a lot of changes happening with our brand - we're expanding the MTO line and special projects, making more in Portugal.. and you'll a bunch of other changes too very soon.

One of the main things that I've had to accept is that I can't be good at everything. Especially every casual things. I think that the Calgary boots were very cool and a good deal for the money. So were union jersey tees, Smith Jeans, our in-house pocket squares... yadda yadda.

The Calgary was competitive with other casual streetwear-ish stuff out there, but that's not what Epaulet's brand is, so we never sold them well. I get it. If you're new to this scene and you're looking at my stuff (which is varied and all over the place) or you're looking at someone like Oak Street Bootmakers (targeted, just footwear) you're going to conclude that the Oak Street product is probably better. They specialize in that style, so they seem to be the experts in it. Customers will trust that more, and they're more proud to wear that brand.

It's hard for me to sell a really rugged workwear boot, just as Oak Street would have a pretty impossible time selling a MTO $275 Albini shirt. Our core is business casual... with our casual stuff being on the more polished side, and that's what we're going to push for. The Combat Boot outsold the Calgary to an absurd degree, and it matched perfectly with our other products.

All that said, just wait until our Fall boots arrive. You'll be like "Calgary who?"

I take a 35 Taylor but have no idea what size rivet I should take.

@Nik Telford oh I think that you'd really like them. Go for a 35 in the Rivet as well, I think that will work for you. The cotton is really tough and it wears like nothing else

@El Argentino the shoes look boss! I really like the B/D collar and knit tie too

@CharlieAngel you should do it - you'll love these! We can fit you in the Hermosa office, which will be open next Saturday to the public. This Donegal is great for the cooler nights out here.

@SherifEnt good call! Those three choices are really boss. The Wool Cords are amazing, Cav Twill was a runaway success this year, and agreed... Ivy Moss is an excellent Donegal color. We've taken a few orders on it already - I think that tone and Airforce Blue are the most rare out of the group.

@dalevy the Rivet shape is fixed, but if you do it unfinished with no side seam taping, it's essentially just like the walt. The rise is pretty normal and it's made with more or less traditional trouser construction. Only real difference is the tacked rear seam, but that's not really noticable.

@CanadaCal that's a great combo. Boots are tan suede?

Speaking of suede. I wonder how those jodhpurs are coming along...
Thanks Frank! Boots are snuff, and I can't praise them enough. So comfortable. I wish the last was a bit more tapered, but I still love them. Especially for airline travel. I'm wearing the shit out of them lately with this weather.

Can't wait for that Jodhpur. I'm holding off an MTO to see what EP offers. I would love a pair of the new Jodhpurs or Chelsea on the GYW shape in a mid to dark Brown saffiano or other textured leather.

Come on Mike get these babies going!

Great wool Rivet Chinos for MTO! @Epaulet Mike, I'm especially drawn to the Blue Danube Cavalry Twill, but don't own any Cavalry Twill pants (Walts or Rivets) myself. What's the weight on that like, especially compared to denim? Also can't quite tell how "light" the blue is on the Blue Danube, whether they'll read as bright blue pants or whether they'll look like just more refined dark denim... Great assortment!

EP trouser experts, need your help

i'm looking to restart my fall / winter dress trousers wardrobe from scratch and looking for 2-3 workhorse basics to order in Driggs fit. Intended use is office, mostly to be worn with sportcoats in different shades of navy and medium to dark brown shoes. Living in Moscow Russia so cold and sometimes quite wet climate.

One obvious choice is Oxford grey flannel 8153. Which other options would be most versatile for everyday office wear, while not being all too similar and covering spectre of formality from business to casual ?
wool cavalry twill ? do you think grey would be more versatile / office appropriate than khaki ? any particular recommedations ?
italian brushed cotton 2413 ?
any other recommendations ?

I forget if this was mentioned earlier, but are the museum calf boots also shipping out of PT with the sneakers?

@Epaulet Hey Mike are there any updates on the Heirloom cardigans for those of us still waiting on them? I know the forest yarn was on backorder but that was a month ago. Just wondering if anything has changed.
